Mark your calendars - We will be at KidsFringe this August! Each day will feature a different guest instructor, so stay tuned for the full artist lineup.

KidsFringe inspires creativity and play for children ages 12 and under* and their families. All shows and activities at KidsFringe are FREE! Located at Light Horse Park on the north end of the Festival Grounds, KidsFringe is open from 10:30am – 5:30pm August 15 – 24, 2025.

*No adults without kids / no kids without adults. KidsFringe also welcomes individuals of all ages with a similar cognitive capacity with the accompaniment of a caregiver. Check out their website for more information.

    Beyond Bollywood with Ashley Kumar

    Beyond Bollywood™ is a South Asian Dance workshop created by Ashley Anjlien Kumar, a trained dance artist with 23 years of education and experience. In her workshop, Ashley takes participants on a journey to learn various styles of South Asian dance and dispel the myths surrounding what Bollywood is and how Bollywood Dance came to be. Participants will learn movements from Classical, Folk and Modern Indian Dance styles.

  • Interactive Songs with Carrie Day

    Join singer-songwriter Carrie Day for a joyful, imaginative music workshop made just for kids! We’ll sing, move, laugh, and jam along to an original song, all about summer fun and the spirit of the Fringe. With catchy melodies, silly actions, and lots of chances to join in, this session is full of creativity and connection. No experience needed; just bring your enthusiasm and imagination!

    Ever watched a play or movie and wondered how actors make those epic battles look so real? Welcome to the magic of stage combat! In this workshop, we'll dive into the basics of unarmed stage combat, focusing on punches, hits, and falls—all designed to keep performers safe while dazzling the audience.

  • Steel Pans with Danielle George

    August 22, 11:30am – 1pm

    Get ready to groove in this high-energy, hands-on workshop, where kids will learn to play the Jumbie Pan—a smaller version of the steelpan from Trinidad & Tobago. Led by Danielle George, this fun-filled session introduces children to the rhythms, history, and joy of Caribbean music. Come make music, move your body, and feel the rhythm of the islands presented by All Things Pan!
