Jube School Presents: Fancy Dance with Lennon First Rider
Experience the vibrant energy and rich meaning behind this dynamic powwow dance style in a workshop led Lennon First Rider. Rooted in tradition and personal expression, Fancy Dance is known for its fast footwork, colourful regalia, and powerful storytelling through movement. Lennon shares not only the steps (or skips!) but the cultural teachings, regalia, history, and pride that shape this high-energy dance form.

About the artist: Oki! My name is Lennon First Rider. I’ve been dancing fancy since I could walk. I come from a family of Fancy Dancers. I’ve travelled to many powwows within the United States and Canada and I am a member of the blood tribe and the Siksika nation but grew up in the city of Calgary.
