The Ministry of Arts, Culture and the Status of Women and Alberta Jubilee Society are proud to present Arts Education Day, a Culture Days experience.
This one-of-a-kind event for high school performing arts students to broaden their knowledge and skills in the events and entertainment industry.
Students will be able to participate in 3 different hour long workshops during the event.
Workshops include:
Backstage Tours with Jubilee Auditorium technicians
Stage Combat with John Knight
Acting for Film with Sally Cacic
Improv with Jordan Lane (The Kinkonauts)
Club Latin Dances with David & Olya Joseph
Broadway Choreography with Taylor Steedman
Choral Music with Scott Henderson
Marching Band 101 with Thomas Dundas
Arts Education Day workshops are open to any high school student interested in learning more about the performing arts. Individual workshop registration will be emailed to each attendee once school resumes in September.
This event is free to attend, but schools are responsible for making their own travel arrangements. Please RSVP to confirm your spot.
Teachers, hoping to bring your entire class, please RSVP for the total class amount.
This event is open to the first 200 registrants.
